Therapy for men who would rather not be here.
Most men who walk into our office did not want to. Something got to the point where it had to change. A relationship, a job, a drinking problem, a temper, a kind of tiredness that sleep does not fix.

Built for our neighbors.
Many of our clients are men, or people who connect with the masculine and rural experience. Montanans face particular challenges: geography, a culture of individualism, intergenerational patterns of trauma, and a changing economy. We have spent our careers developing pragmatic skills to meet the needs of our neighbors.
What it looks like
It starts with building a straightforward relationship. From there the work attends to the body, the mind, and the people around you. Some of it is skills: managing anger, sleeping, handling the conversation you keep avoiding. Some of it is older material that still has a grip. EMDR helps with that.
We will not make you talk about your feelings before you are ready. We will ask you to show up.

Who you will work with.
Sam Ore, LCSW, is a fifth-generation Montanan, a musician, a handyman, and a father. Trebor Riddle, SWLC, has lived in Montana his whole life and plays bass in the symphony. Both see men individually. Cate Maher, SWLC, works with men too, and some men prefer that.
First responders and people who do hard jobs
Police officers, nurses, firefighters, paramedics, funeral directors, social workers. Long hours, weird schedules, and the worst moments of strangers’ lives as a daily routine. We work with a lot of people in this position, in therapy and through employee assistance programs.
Insurance covers most of it. The sliding fee scale covers a lot of the rest. Fees and insurance
